‘They had built their nests very high that year, the old saying was that foretold a good summer and so it was, as the summer has been kind and warm, the crops and fruit plentiful, people happy.  Here at the Lammas moon they return home after a day foraging in the fields and hedgerows.  Their nests are now abandoned for this season and the focus is on feeding and strengthening ready for the hard winter season ahead.  The Holly King was triumphant two months previous and the earth now heads inevitably towards the darker season.’
