‘I saw this on Overstrand beach one morning following a stormy night at sea.  The crab pot had obviously broken from the string and was bent and twisted where it had been pounded by the waves then abandoned on the beach. It looked very forlorn, propped against the groyne and surrounded by a litter of shells and sea creatures, no use to anyone any more.’
