‘Summer solstice sunrise is special on this coast. the sun is probably the furthest east it gets and the darkness is the shortest of any night of the year.  I watched this sunrise last summer on my favourite beach, sitting in my favourite spot.  As the sun rose the tide receded and everything seemed to shine and glint in the early morning light. Isn’t it strange how we link the solstice with stones or structures, whatever form they take?’
