‘I remember seeing this race, I assume it was a race but anyway it was unusual for the coast around here.  The yachts leaned and strained in the brisk wind, their sails stretched tight to catch every ounce as they sped past across the sea.  I don’t know where they came from, or where they were going to, they just appeared for a few moments then slipped away into the distance, finally disappearing over the horizon.’
