‘The second of the Woodland Season’s series.  Summer is in many ways the crown of the year, giving us warmth and light, we want it to last forever but know it can’t.  Nature herself tells us that it is impermanent, compare the colours of Spring and Summer, Spring is fresh, bright and vibrant, Summer moves towards the mature, bleached and slightly tired colours, almost as if the sun’s light has started to wash the colour away. Although we make the most of it we know in our heart it has to end.’
