‘The view along the coast from Overstrand south-westward following the cliffs.  It is towards Sidestrand, as you can see the church re-built further inland when the original fell into the sea over a hundred years ago now.  A little further on you can see the Trimingham ‘golf ball’, a military radar installation.  The area has a long military association, I am told that even the beach in this picture was mined and shut off until the late 1950’s.’
