‘After I painted ‘Overstrand to Cromer’ I was asked ‘what about the view from the west’?  Fair point I thought, so I went to both East and West Runton, but couldn’t decide which to use.  To avoid any conflict I made this image and called it ‘Runton to Cromer’, you may guess at whichever Runton it was, but I will never say.  Suffice to say though that together they make a good pair of ‘bookend’ pictures.’
