‘Like many of the beaches on the North Norfolk coast, Wells actually faces north so it benefits from both sunrises and sunsets. Interestingly, most images of the beach face west, towards Holkham.  Very few look to the east, towards the entrance to Wells harbour and safe haven.  I wanted to capture a sunrise over the salt marshes from the iconic beach, so this is a view looking to the east.  It speaks to me of a new and fresh morning of life.’
